Engineering Expertise for Bulk and Unit Conveyors

At Motion Conveyance Solutions, we specialize in providing engineered solutions for both bulk handling (i.e., belt conveyors, bucket elevators, screw conveyors, drags, etc.) and unit handling systems. Whether handling massive quantities of uncontained materials or managing smaller, light-duty systems in industries like warehousing and manufacturing, our services cover everything from troubleshooting and modifying existing systems to designing and supplying complete conveyor solutions. Here’s a breakdown of our capabilities across these systems.

Troubleshooting and Upgrading Existing Systems

When troubleshooting any existing material handling system, Motion’s engineers have the expertise to solve the toughest challenges that significantly impact our customers’ productivity. They address common issues like bearing failures, premature belt wear or shaft failures and more complicated ones like recurring or catastrophic component failures. Our engineers’ troubleshooting process can include a site walk of the system to review the issues, modeling the existing system and running calculations to help determine the root causes of any problems. They then work with the sales teams to provide updated system components to ensure the system runs optimally.

Our engineers can also assist when the customer needs to modify or upgrade a current system or process. For bulk handling systems, that can include speed/capacity increase or decrease, transfer chute design upgrades due to plugging or wear, drive upgrades, shortening/extending an existing conveyor, etc. For unit handling systems, that can include system efficiencies, extending a conveyor or process, transfer improvements between conveyors, speed/capacity increase, etc. Whether the upgrade consists of just new components or new equipment, we are here to keep Motion’s customers running efficiently.

Designing New Conveyor Systems

For customers looking to build new conveyor systems, Motion Conveyance Solutions can offer various expert design solutions.

For bulk handling systems, we can approach a new system in several ways. If the customer wants to provide their own structures, we can design and supply all the mechanical and electrical system components. We can also design and supply complete conveyors. Motion’s engineers will ensure the systems are properly built for long-lasting performance. So, whether the customer needs help with the design and supply of conveying components or complete conveyor systems, Motion Conveyance Solutions is here to help.

For unit handling systems, we can tailor them to industries including food and beverage, warehousing, manufacturing and many others. Some common conveyor types we offer include:

• Slider Bed Belt Conveyors: Perfect for moving packages or boxes across shorter distances on a conveyor pan.
• Motor-Driven Roller Conveyors: A solution where internally powered rollers drive the conveyor. These systems allow flexible configurations, including creating accumulation zones or product spacing for high-efficiency operations.
• Chain-Driven Live Roller Conveyors: A solution where a chain directly powers the rollers, ideal for heavy loads and pallet systems.
• Sorting Conveyors: A solution that sorts or organizes items based on preset criteria.
• And many other standard or custom conveyor solutions.

Complete Turnkey Solutions and Installation Support

Motion Conveyance Solutions offers complete turnkey solutions for all types of conveyor systems. Our turnkey installation and startup support can vary based on your needs. Some partners prefer to have our team provide full assembly service after we design and manufacture their new conveyor system, as well as on-site installation and startup support from weeks to months afterward. We offer the custom options you require.
