Your Must-Have Winter Steam Handling Solution

As winter approaches, businesses operating in harsh industrial environments face new challenges when handling steam. Ensuring that your facility is equipped with reliable, high-quality steam hose assemblies is crucial for maintaining safety and efficiency in operations like cleaning, heat control, thawing and fire prevention. One standout solution for this need is the Gates Plant Master Steam Hose with Crimped Ground Joint Fittings.

Here’s why this steam hose assembly is the go-to choice for the winter months:

• Durability in Harsh Conditions
Winter brings freezing temperatures, making it even more important to rely on equipment designed to endure. The Gates Plant Master Steam Hose is engineered to perform in extreme environments, such as refineries, chemical plants, steel mills and shipyards. Whether you’re dealing with saturated or superheated steam, this hose can handle pressures up to 250 psi and temperatures up to +450 °F (+232 °C), ensuring continuous operation throughout the season.
• Increased Safety and Reliability
Steam is one of the most demanding applications for industrial hoses, requiring a robust design that prevents failures under high pressure and temperature. These permanently crimped ground joint fittings eliminate protruding bolts that pose risks in your workspace. This design also enhances the safety of your team and equipment, preventing accidents caused by snagging on sharp bolts or poorly secured fittings.
• Improved Performance for Steam Handling
Whether handling wet or dry steam, saturated or superheated, you need a hose that performs reliably across all conditions. Gates steam hoses are built to withstand the toughest environments, maintaining flexibility and strength even in winter’s coldest months. This makes them ideal for industries where steam is used for heat control or cleaning, so you won’t face unnecessary downtime due to hose failures.
• Customizable Assembly Solutions
We understand that no two applications are the same. That’s why we offer customizable assembly options with 3/4" and 1" internal diameters, along with a choice of Viton ground joint or male NPT thread terminations. These high-quality crimped steam hose couplings ensure a reliable seal for high-pressure steam transfer, optimizing both safety and efficiency in your operations.
